The following resources (websites, fact-sheets, videos, etc) are provided by a variety of organisations. Some are national organisations such as Diabetes UK but there are also local services provided or commissioned by the NHS, local authority, charity or voluntary organisations as well as a range of other resources by national and local providers.
The Torbay Hospital website contains a wide range of leaflets to assist you with a wide range of conditions and guidance on what to do in particular circumstances.
The NHS website also provides information, advice and guidance for hundreds of health conditions along with general health information.
These resources are checked at the time of being added; please let us know at email@example.com if you find any that need updating.
The Trust has developed a programme to help local people struggling with long-term health conditions; build confidence and learn how to manage their condition(s), including mental health issues such as anxiety, stress and depression, better.
The programme helps you to focus on you as a person, not as a long-term condition. It helps you to discover new strengths and rediscover old ones to keep yourself well. It also aims to boost your self-confidence and resilience, to help you cope better emotionally, psychologically and practically with your condition. This is not therapy but more therapeutic!
